Getting Organised Early . . .
I love Christmas! I really love decorating my tree with friends and family! I have a different colour theme every year. My decorations are put away in boxes according to colour theme, I know, rather anally retentive but I love just being able to go to the right box and pull that one down in preparation for decorating the tree. The lights are always a fun drama that my eldest son and one of my oldest and dearest friends has to untangle before it gets put on the tree. It’s kind of a tradition with the tree decorating too.
Anyway, that’s not what this post is about, this post is about me getting myself organised already for the coming onslaught of necessary Christmas present purchases. I’ve decided that for my inner circle of girlfriends this year I would do mostly pampering and self made gifts. To this end I have spent the last day or so, researching essential oil blends I can put into roller ball bottles as gifts.
With us all being “of a certain age” I have settled on the following potions:
Headache
Balance
Relax
Sleep
I’ve made up samples for myself so will be trying them out over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime I have also decided to custom print pretty labels for these potions. I’ve had lots of fun creating these via a printing website and they look great, even if I do say so myself.

Earlier on I decided this year that instead of wrapping paper that I would have some custom printed bags made up that I would put presents in this year. Yes, a little more expensive, but less mess for the world and a lot more fun and personal. I decided to do the same for Christmas gift tags and Christmas cards too. I often buy tags and cards that are “there” but I really don’t like them much. This year I have created my own and had them printed. I’m stoked with how well they have turned out.
Now that I’ve got about half of my Christmas presents organised . . . . I just have to work out what I’m going to get the family this year. . . . .
